WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?

This is a tapas style tea, with a savoury selection, followed by some rather delightful cakes and sweets. Mini Iberico burgers, vie with mini sourdough baguettes, followed by mini banoffee pies, and mini macaroons. Yes, there is a theme, but you need to save space for the red velvet cake.

The tea itself is rather special. Calm yet uplifting, and there is an eclectic tea selection to choose from. Maybe you fancy sipping a cup of Mi Lan Dan Cong - the champagne of Oolong tea or perhaps savour the wild organic Rooibos whose leaves only grow in one area of the world, or does the idea of Chocolate Tea with Peruvian cocoa nibs excite your taste buds. It goes without saying for the less adventurous, English breakfast and Earl Grey come as standard.

And of course, this is a bar…. silly not to make use of their rather considerable expertise. Why not go for broke with an indulgent afternoon tea alongside a spot of cocktail making.

To get you in the mood you will be offered a signature cocktail on arrival - a little bit of sunshine in a glass. Then before settling in for the tapas tea, there’s a spot of work to be done. A cocktail-making class from the experts, after which you can get a bit ‘ hands on’ and make one of your own. If that still isn’t enough, there are two ‘Maison specials ‘ to try.

I did the cocktail masterclass followed by tea for two with my partner. The atmosphere is so welcoming and I love the theme of the bar. The lady that hosted was full of knowledge and really friendly. I would definitely recommend that you do it! The tapas tea for two was not the common sandwich and scones it was more cultural with a lot of mozzarella and really flavoursome. It was a mixture of foods I wouldn’t normally try and I loved it!

My boyfriend and I came for a cocktail making class and afternoon tea. The whole experience was excellent and so much fun! We started at the bar (where a maximum of 8 people can sit) and we had a cocktail made for us before all making one behind the bar. It was really interactive and entertaining and the member of staff who led the class was really welcoming. After making our cocktails we were sat at a table for afternoon tea. It was really delicious and they also brilliantly accommodated for my boyfriend being vegetarian. We finally drank two more cocktails of our choice during the afternoon tea before leaving. We would definitely love to come back another time and recommend others to try it too!

We were bought a gift experience to have a cocktail masterclass and afternoon tea at Map Maison. Firstly, the place and decor was amazing! We were welcomed in by Melissa who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The experience began shortly and was really, really fun, interesting and entertaining. We were never short of some delicious cocktails which we could pick to make and, of course, drink! We went onto have afternoon tea which was delicious. We'd rate the whole experience 10/10. Would love to do it again as the staff were great, the venue was exciting and the drinks and food were on point. Thank you!

The staff could not have been more helpful in getting everything arranged or welcoming when hosting us on the day. The bar itself is lovely and cosy plus the cocktails were delicious and the food was tasty too. We had a wonderful time and I'd definitely recommend it.

Venue was gorgeous, loved the decor and the atmosphere. All the staff were friendly, attentive and took the time to talk us through our experience and what to expect. The food was exquisite! Each bite was flavourful and well balanced and we wished we had time to order more. We had a cocktail afternoon tea and the drinks were beautiful too. The Hummingbird Effect was my favourite but there genuinely wasn’t one that was a miss. Will definitely be back!

Such a great day! We did the mixology class followed by tapas afternoon tea and it was fabulous! We had 4 cocktails each all lovely, surprising as a few were made of ingredients we don’t like! Our host was excellent! Knowledgable and welcoming, you don’t just shake a few things up you get to play with smoke and fancy glasses making it feel really special. The afternoon tea looked beautiful and so much more exciting than scones and sandwiches!! Really cool spot and easy to get to, we would definitely go back for a drink or one of the other experiences they offer.

Very enjoyable. Making cocktail was fun. Afternoon tea was nice. I would have liked more savoury edibles and less sweet but that was just down to personal preference. The staff were nice , friendly and helpful.
