WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Venture on an engaging historical adventure through the iconic streets of London! Our walking tour promises to reveal the captivating tales and lesser-known facts that lie beneath the surface of the city's famous landmarks and neighbourhoods.
As a lifelong Londoner with a passion for travel and storytelling, your digital guide will unveil the hidden gems and surprising anecdotes that often escape the standard tourist experiences. Prepare to be enthralled by the secret forces that shaped the flow of the River Thames, the unexpected origins behind the name "Covent Garden," and the fascinating story of a beverage you'd least expect to be associated with Britain's rich heritage.
Then head to Cinnamon Bazaar (a short 4-minute stroll from the tour end point) to savour High Chai, the Indian version of a British high tea, as flavours of East India weave their way into our traditional tea time spread.
Your Afternoon Tea
Pot of tea for two? Well, there’s Earl Grey or Assam, but why not try Jade Sword Green or White Peony? The in-house Indian Masala Chai is freshly brewed using ginger and cardamom.
The High Chai menu is divided into three. Start with a chaat, that’s a spicy snack, just enough to take the edge off your appetite before moving on to the ‘nibbles’. Marsala fish finger sandwich and Chicken spring roll.
Did we mention there’s a glass of prosecco (or a mocktail) on the menu? This will make High Chai rather more of a celebration -and then of course there’s the sweet treats. Goan sawdust pudding, which, despite the name is rich and creamy with layers of cakey crumbs (hence the ‘sawdust’), toy with a saffron and pistachio macaron, and admire the Bebinca, another Goan delicacy.
So there you have it. A cup of delicious tea and treats, all you have to do is add the conversation.
Chat and chaats, a heavenly combo.
