Discover the magic of screen printing in this hands-on workshop led by a pro. Learn the art of layering colours and textures, and create your own unique designs on paper or fabric.
WHAT'S THIS SCREEN PRINTING CLASS ALL ABOUT?
It’s the vivid colours that gives screen printing an edge. Layering the paint or ink also produces a tactile, textured feel that you can’t get through any other process. It’s very easy to become addicted to hand printing and pattern.
Explore colour, shapes and texture and how to use it in this workshop, run by Sarah Watts Buck, a professional textile printer who will guide you through the process and inspire you to create your own patterns.
The studio is a welcoming, unique space used by artists and designers, and now you. It doesn’t matter if you are a curious beginner or have previous experience. It’s equipped with everything you will need and beyond. Tools for mixing and printing, stencils and silkscreen are all provided.

YOUR SCREEN PRINTING EXPERIENCE
The first part of the workshop is working on newsprint, which removes any worry about spoiling virgin textiles.
After a break you are given the option to continue with paper or move onto printing using fabric. White T.shirts are favourite, but tote bags and t.towels are also waiting bereft of pattern or colour so you can unleash your inner Picasso.
