Whether you want to become a professional or simply want to learn how to DJ at home then The JW DJ Academy has the tutors and the kit to turn your dreams into reality. A 3 hour workshop with lessons from industry pros who really know how to bring out the best. All the techniques learned on the day can be applied to any software or equipment. You will receive advice on what to purchase for home use geared to your own requirements.

This is all about learning the basics of DJing so you can start to mix in a relaxed environment as well as receiving industry insights. You need no experience for this one. It’s all about getting you started.

3-hour course with 30-minute break and a complimentary glass or wine or beer

Location - Greenwich

Day is flexible based on your requirements.

Sessions are unavailable from the 20th of November until the end of December due to festive party commitments.

I had a beginners session with JW Academy recently and it was a great experience. Jaynee was extremely helpful from the start and everyone at the academy was very helpful and easy going which made the experience a whole lot better! My tutor was G-Starr who was really good at explaining the basics of what it takes to become a fully fledged DJ. G-Starr was also very friendly and made me feel at ease from the start! It was also good to be able to play on a large sound system at Be At One in Liverpool St. From having minimal experience in mixing songs, by the end of the session I was able to get to grips with the art of mixing and managed to mix several tracks together in the space of 3 hours. I'd highly recommend this session to any budding DJ out there.

The owner, Jaynee was super helpful in terms of recommending the right course, after initially being bought the beginners experience by a friend for my birthday.
