"Re-loved" is the buzzword in this 1-2-1 workshop. Emma Booker is a professional upcycler. Now you can learn the techniques and start turning brown furniture into a riot of pattern.

WHAT’S THIS ALL ABOUT?

Take a secondhand side table and start a transformation. Emma Booker is an artist and upcycler, with an eye for pattern and color that can turn any piece of brown wood into a modern collector’s item. Now it’s your turn to learn the tricks of her trade.

This is a day-long class where you will be introduced to techniques such as decoupage, wallpapering, and using metallic leaf.

Her studio is a treasure trove of papers, paints, and varnish—all the materials your table is crying out for.

On arrival, you will choose from a selection of small second-hand tables, pre-prepared just for you. Under Emma’s guidance, you will start to give the table a new, rather vibrant second life. If you don’t manage to complete the makeover by the end of the day, you can take home the materials needed to finish the project—along with the table, of course.

There’s no rush to finish, this class is taken at your own pace. Tea, coffee, and biscuits will be available throughout the day, but please bring your own lunch.

Wear old clothes—makeovers are messy! This class is a private 121 session. But you can bring a friend if you would like to work on the project together. You are guaranteed lots of Emma’s help and attention. Start looking around your home for ideas and placement.

This is your chance to bring a bit of personal "va-va-voom" to your interior decor. Nothing is more pleasing than bringing a piece back to life.

Once you’ve built up the confidence to upcycle, will any bit of furniture be safe?

- 1-2-1 (but you can bring a mate for free)
- All materials including papers, paints and varnish, plus use of tools A choice of small second-hand side tables which have been pre-prepared for you
- A take-home bag with your choice of upcycled coaster kit, plus any materials needed to finish your table project at home
 - All materials included tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
