Known for its music, football, and laid-back locals, Liverpool also boasts a very lively food culture.
WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?
Albert Docks was the gateway to the world and welcomed visitors from around the globe. The result is an eclectic mix of communities, with some pretty amazing food (and drinks) as a result.
This tour takes place from the Docks and around the Baltic Triangle, as you explore the back streets, the old buildings, and, of course, interesting eating places. History speaks to you from every corner, and you’ll start to see Liverpool like a Liverpudlian. Your guide will be from the city, an expert in anecdotes, history, and the foodie culture. The terms Scouse and Scouser are both derived from a traditional sailor's stew (lobscouse) and is the city’s traditional dish. Keep a lookout for a scouse pud: stew in a Yorkshire pudding. Double yum.
