Balancing on a board might seem a bit challenging if you’ve never done it before, but with a bit of effort and an excellent teacher, you’ll be paddling your way around central Bath—enjoying the envious stares of onlookers before you even have time to think about panicking.

This historic city is all about the water, and what better way to see it than on it?  Paddle under bridges, pass wildlife, and enjoy some of the most unique views in the South West.

This experience starts with a briefing on the basics and kitting up. You’ll begin the session kneeling on the board before the instructor helps you to stand. There is a simple step-by-step guide, and before you know it, the grand architecture of Bath will be providing the backdrop to your adventure.

The views are fabulous, and you’ll be wanting selfies as you stand on your board with Pulteney Bridge towering over you.  Not to worry—your guide will be snapping photos throughout.  Photographs will be sent directly to you as soon as the session is over.

The qualified instructor will be on the water with you, guiding you along the river and providing excellent local knowledge on the scenery around you. Bring a towel—just in case. You’ll need to be able to swim 15 meters in light clothing, but otherwise, anyone from the age of 8 (with an adult) is eligible to paddle. Look at the horizon and relax. Falling in is not as common as you think.

Everyone knows that “taking the waters” in Bath is the very reason for the existence of this fabulous city. Now you can take to the water. Jane Austen might be rather envious.
