Open from 6am to 11pm, 7 days a week (5 days a week 7am to 6pm in Winter) with free parking, outdoor walks, on-site games (table tennis, boules, garden games) , equipment hire (wetsuits, boards, gloves and boots), and a cafe-bar. This is a proper day out - so the non-surfers can enjoy the experience too. Just remember to ‘Aloha’ the barista. Nothing wrong with pretending you're in Hawaii.
This experience is for 1 surf lesson, and takes place in ‘The Bay’ which is the shallow part of the lake. It’s for surfers who have never had any surfing experience before, or have done very little and want to be guided by expert coaches through the basics of surfing, to the point where they're standing up consistently and ready to progress to bigger waves.
These are small white water waves, that last 10-12 seconds, and end at the shore. See - very grown-up technology.
Washingpool Farm is the address. Which is wonderfully English. Maybe forget ‘Aloha’ and chance your luck with a more local ‘Awl Rite?’
