The flour is sourced from Shipton Mill, the bacon from Swaledale, and the maple syrup is most definitely ‘A’ grade. Flour and eggs battered into deliciousness. There are pancakes to delight every taste bud. Are you sweet or savoury? Vegan or Veggie? Going wheat free. No problem. Dairy free? Bring it on.  From morning to night there is a pancake with your name on it.  A tea delight could include a topping of strawberries and cream or they could be just be served as an aside adding cheer to a glass of Prosecco or a signature cocktail. Think about it. A Mississippi Mule with a smoked salmon blini - the afternoon just got even better. The space itself was pre-constructed and then shipped from Amsterdam, before landing in Arch 35a under the railway on the Southwark Bridge Road. Terrazzo Experience in London

Learn to make a colourful Terrazzo plant pot. WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT? It’s all the rage. The little coloured chips that are a staple in Italian homes are appearing everywhere. On walls and floors, tiles and dishes. It makes any surface look rather Mediterranean, and we could all use a bit of that. It started as an ideal way to reuse stone offcuts - and we aren’t talking 1970’s or 1950’s.  In the 16th-century recycling by laying on the chips was the hot ticket for interiors.   Francesca will be talking through the basics in this lovely, and very colourful plant pot workshop.  Using Jesomite, a water based resin as the base you will learn how to pigment this versatile material and make your own unique terrazzo chips in the process. Once you have the coloured pieces, you will cast your plant pot and pour your creation into silicone moulds.  They will then sand and seal and your pot will be ready to take home. THE ALL IMPORTANT DETAILS Apron and gloves are provided, and while the pots are drying out, refreshments will be provided.  This class takes place in their Shoreditch studio at least once a month, at the weekend (usually Saturday but also some Sundays).  The class is 3.5 hours and will be kept to 10 people maximum.     HOW DOES IT WORK? An Afternoon Tea plus a glass of Prosecco WHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT?  Colonel Saab is a restaurant that is awash with eclectic Indian art, from the moment you walk through the door, there will be some artefact to catch your eye. The building itself has history, once Holborn Old Town Hall, a grade 11 listed building. The councilors have been swept out and in their place a venue now layered with the textures and soul of India. The chandeliers (handcrafted and shipped from India) give out a soft twinkle and soothing jazz music transports you back into a bygone era. The crustless cucumber sandwiches set the scene, spread with a coriander mayonnaise, and vie for space with sultana scones, clotted cream and strawberry jam. Carrot cake, macaroons, and chocolates are just really for starters, a precursor to the chocolate silk cake.. For your Indian fix there are crispy samosas and dhokla sandwiches, and if you haven’t tasted a dhokla sandwich, expect to see flour cakes steamed to perfection, and served with a tamarind and mint chutney.  Obviously there is tea - choose from twelve different flavours, or maybe a glass of Prosecco - this is after all an occasion.  Chai, charlie and bubbly - very jazzy, very Colonel Saab.
